About me

Member Profile Information

At the age of Nine I was given my first Camera a Kodak Brownie TWIN 20. Years later Nikon brought out their F I got it because it was so versatile and I have used Nikons ever since It was then that I went to Regent St Poly for City and Guilds photo technicians exams 744. In 67-69 I worked for TOE the Russian camera importers marketing their radios and cameras the Zenith was great value for money capable of great results. From 1977 I spent the next 23 years working in the Middle East and Africa. I have travelled to 39% of the globe and still do some when possible. On coming back to the UK to live in 2003 I was happy in my ignorance and continued using film until my Brother said he would buy me a Digi camera for my 60th, I decided on a Fuji S5500 and I was converted to go 100% Digital, a year later bought my Fuji S5Pro. An improved Nikon D200 What an amazing piece of kit, but how I would like to go back and retrace those years of travel with this camera I can see the vast difference in image quality and wished I had changed years before. - I am involved in Photo Safaris for Disabled folks to East and Southern Africa try www.epic-enabled.com details available direct.
