Absolutely Brilliant - we all start to lose our marbles by the time we get to my age but apart from that little bit missing bottom right this is as near perfect such a simple shot can be.

Just stumbled upon this where Anne (Ancient Matilda) had made it a favourite. It is a really effective and interesting shot, simply composed and colourful. That is a slight problem on this site, there is so much going on one often misses good pictures like this.

Harry this is a lovely picture - did you set the marbles out carefully or just roll them? I really like the colours and the shadows - and yes they do look like butterfly wings.
Definitely one of your best compositions
