I think this is a remarkable animal portrait! I especially love the capture of the light in this shot. Also I love the composition. And as one from 'across the pond',
I thank you for the Mockingbird comment. They daily frequent the area where I live, and are often heard into the wee hours, joyfully and perfectly imitating the voices of scores of other birds.

I don't normally go for animal pictures but I like this one. Great composition and lighting, especially the way the bigger horse is looking at the camera.
