CAN ANYONE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION WHERE TO PUT THE POWER ADAPTER TOO.

Hello friend's, without any rude comment's. Could anyone inform me where to stick the power adapter in to my HS 10......   You can plainly see, the connection for the usb connection. And the one for the telly. But I cannot see any for a power pack, thingie.

Hi, Robert

Do you mean to recharge the batteries?

As the HS10 uses 4 AA batteries they have to be recharged outside of the camera, that's if you are using rechargeable batteries of course.

Thanks

Jack

Hi Sal, I am not going to get any untill I find out which is the one. I do not think it has any. Here is a pic of my other camera...............................................

Now you can plainly see all the connection's and power connection's and that. All connection's for the dc power adapter is round and you need a female type connector at the end.

Maybe need this as well as the the mains adapter, if so Fuji could have come up with something better. Just another way of getting more money off ya.

Hi PAUL, So apart from opening your battery compartment, and shoving that in, leaving the door open, I presume, what  is going to stop it falling out.??? When it's on the tripod. I cannot think of what they where thinking of, when they where desighning this camera. It seem's to me that they had the 30 time's zoomed blinker's on.  And forgot all about what is necessary on a camera. The main's adapter is cheap enough, it could be utilised the one I have, depending on the connection from that bit of doodah that you showed me. But I am not holding my breath though. If you are in the know , how it work's. Will you explain it to me.

Bob, I do not own this camera or never picked one up so I dont know this camera. But on page 115 in the user manual its shows both adapters to use off the mains. Is there a little slot on the battery door for the wire to run through so you can shut the door. Looks like another Fuji after thought.

Can you put up a close up photo showing the underside of the HS10 with battery door opened.

CALM DOWN, Now everybody. Calm down. I have had a look at what you described to me, and there is like a little (rubber, plastic.) catflap type of thingie. So it's full sail for that  inserting thingie . What it looks Like is two batteries strung together, with a connection to the power pack. So it's get the anchor back on board and we sail at dawn, towards the new type power pack thingie, and then i can get it on the tripod with impunity. I will make the **** work. Now then, How do we get around the non bulb-cable release thingie. Has anyone come up with a solution for that anomaly. Now here is a pic of the battery compartment of the ( FUJI HS 10 ) Can you notice the little cat flap thingie to the right of the pic, in the middle. It's not very clear I know, but you can see it.

Thanks for posting the photo Bob, that little plastic insert is what I was looking for, 'thought there would be something like that'. Has you have said just push the adapter in to the battery compartment and then close the door & push the AC adapter in the other end and BINGO.

Now for the shutter release thing. Jessops use to make one that used to wrap around the hand grip. Made out of a Velcro strap with a threaded insert where you placed it over the shutter button then screw a shutter release cable in 'don't know if they still make it though'.

Could call in and ask them sure you can get some kind of adapter.

Thanks Bob for for sorting that one out. I have been thinking of getting the power adapter and would have struggled with that one.... Think it stops people buying the cheaper fit any camera power supply adapter!
