The shutter button has recently started intermittently  not tripping. Sometimes it will go down but without focussing; other times it releases if I move the zoom lever, some times I have to switch it off and back on. Also occasionally the menu button doesn't have any effect - as though the camera has frozen.

I wonder if I have got some setting wrong or whether I need to take it back to the shop (I only bought in in June 2010). When it works properly, the images are beautifully clear!!
