Hi thereJust wondering if someone could shed some light... (think I am having a moment)I have been taking some test photos and they all seem to be blurred on the outside of the shot. At first I thought I had it on the wrong setting (it was on centered) so i did a shot in all AF modes and it still did the same thing, am I missing something here?Hope someone can help

Having looked through a good number of this month's comp entries, I've noticed quite a few that might benefit from a little CC..... over exposure,  under expsure, focus not quite sharp etc, and  there's also a few where I (and it might be just me!) can't see any "perspective" there at all!  All these images seem to have had great praise too!I've refrained from saying anything, because when I have done in the past, people have had a go at me!!  Are people frightened of giving CC these days? Or are we not supposed to give CC on comp antries any more?

I've got a S2950 and i'm struggling to use it lol. I was wondering if anyone could post your settings here so I could try them out. People seem to be able to capture some amazing HD quality images but mine seem all blurry :(

My HS20 stopped recording video so sent it for repair (2-4 weeks), unfortunately that means I have to dig out my very heavy DSLR stuff or not take photos for a month! :( not a happy chappy, specially when I had planned a zoo trip and a mountain tea trek trip tomorrow...my poor back! *sigh*  RegardsDean

Today i went out and bought a CSC (Compact systemcamera) from Samsung, the NX 11 model together with kit 18-55mm objective. Will order the 50-200mm when my wallet stops screaming (3 cameras in 4 months).Anyone experienced with this Camera? I read alot of reviews, tried it at a store and i got pleasantly suprised, smaller than a regular DSLR body but with the same features and specs as nikon/canon. The sensor is the same as in Canon 7D.Reviews arent all that mixed.. most of reviewers give the camera 8 out of 10. Photograhyblogg, ephotozine and so on.

Hi, I have just orderd an X-10. Unfortunaly before looking at the forum. I am wondering if anyone has anything good to say about it. All the reviews I have looked at gave it glowing remarks now I find I may have ordered a bag of nails. Not sure what to believe.

Thanks to everyone that helped make my mind up about getting a Raynox 250 lens to help me with macro. I also got some advice about getting myself a shutter remote, when i looked into this it came as a surprise that you cant get one for the HS 10 what a bummer. I know there is nothing that can be done about this as there has been previous discussions on the subject. So could some people help me view macro images that were taken on an HS 10 without a shutter remote and restore my faith in my camera.Donald.:)

Hi,Has anyone tried using the HS10 with the RR-80 remote shutter release?HS10 uses a micro USB and the RR-80 uses a mini-USB, but before i take the plunge and buy a RR-80 and a mini-micro adapter, has anyone else tried this approach and got it to work?

I've just posted another blog onto my Blogger site, if anyone would like to have a nosey:http://abirdersblog.blogspot.com/2012/01/2-local-nature-reserves.htmlI'm still working on formats & layouts over there, but so far it seems to be far more adaptable. With a section for monitoring stats such as how many visitors, and their source routes - interesting ;)

Mother Superior called all the nuns together and said to them, 'I must tell you all something. We have a case of gonorrhoea in the convent.' 'Thank God,' said an elderly nun at the back. 'I'm so tired of chardonnay.

I do a lot (probably to much) of traveling throughout SE Asia for work and spend what spare time I have motorcycle touring. I travel without checked luggage so am restricted to 7kg carry-on plus a small camera bag and a 10" netbook computer.I find the HS20EXR (and previously the HS10) the perfect general purpose camera for me when I am out and about. My camera kit has to fit into my small camera bag, for ease of travel and airline restrictions. Here is my camera kit that covers most of my needs:

Like Fred said in general topics the manual to help explain how to use the camera does not download from the provided CD. Cannot find it anywhere.  Will simply download it hopefully as a PDF document from a website.
