So, last week I returned home to find out that I had uploaded the wrong image to the competition and not having a great deal of time to re shoot my original idea, I rushed home today to try and replace it. I got the shot but then when I went to upload, Noo! The contest was closed.
Here is what my original idea should have been like, and as I don't really shoot B&W/ monochrome, I'd really appreciate any criticism any of you all have to offer. I'm really interested in this style of shooting and I'd like to think I've started to get the basics of lighting with this shot..

After JUST missing out on the X competition, I felt it still a worthy photo to add to my progressive gallery.

I do a lot (probably to much) of traveling throughout SE Asia for work and spend what spare time I have motorcycle touring. I travel without checked luggage so am restricted to 7kg carry-on plus a small camera bag and a 10" netbook computer.
I find the HS20EXR (and previously the HS10) the perfect general purpose camera for me when I am out and about. My camera kit has to fit into my small camera bag, for ease of travel and airline restrictions.
Here is my camera kit that covers most of my needs:
Hi, I purchased a used HS10, the previous user was happy with it but I am unable to see anything properly on the screen or in the viewfinder, it's all blurry. I tried to take pictures and the camera beeped twice and gave me green light as it is in focus but even the pictures came out blurry. I tried to reset it as well but did not help. Can anybody advise?
