S3200. Any tips?

I have just ordered a Finepix S3200 and I am wondering if anyone has any good tips to help me.

I declined the extra 6X Optical Zoom of the S4000 as the pictures were ment to look painted.

I have just moved up from a small AV200 so it is a big step up as I have no experiance of using an SLR/Bridge camera.

My photography is wide-based so if you look at my gallery you will see. What you may not see there is that with the new camera I will also be doing some sport based photography in the way of rugby.

S1800 difficulty trying to focus

Hi everybody.

I recently received a S1800 for my birthday. It looks to be a great camera from what i have seen thus far. The only problem is I am having difficulty focusing my pictures 99.9% of the time it gives me the "AF!" error when trying to focus. I have found that on full (18X) zoom it focuses most of the time, but otherwise nearly never. Does anyone have any advice? I tried it on several of the modes but the problem persist.

Black spots on screen

This is not mine but explains the problem i have, though in my case i have two black dots. I would like to know if this is coverd by warranty, its still under.Im not sure how these spots came to be.
