There's Nowt As Weird as Finepix Folk!!!
What it was right, I was asked to show these peeps from myfinepix round York. Fair enough I hear you say, so I thought too. We arranged to meet in the National Rail Museum.

So that's what we did. We had our own special table under the clock on the busy platform of the Brief Encounter Restaurant.

They all seemed really lovely and normal.

Well, fairly normal.

There were husband and wives..........

wives and husbands

Everyone was chatting and things were going really well. Then............

folk started getting their cameras out

and that's when it all started

to get silly

really silly!!

Someone just wasn't amused, while another tried to hide under the table. Others were finding it funny..........

...........really funny!!

Then there were hugs.............

cos someone was leaving............byeeeeeeeeeeeee

*sniff*

So some of us decided to stay and play.............

stupid girl, who does she think she is Judy Garland!!
*Street Car Called Desire* oh never mind.

Even when I took them out they couldn't behave...........

sticking tongues out

and posing in the street!!

Kissing strange bears!!

Talking to even stranger purple men!!

Trying to kidnap local dogs!!

Yeah like you two are so innocent!!

I decided to take them somewhere posh to nosh. Don't know what they found so amusing.........

It had candles and everyfink!!

See, you can behave when you try!!

Out come the cameras...........again

So I said 'keep your eyes open' there's always one.........

who just doesn't get it!!

Now she's doin it 'swell!!

At last!! That's much better, thank you!!

Say cheeeeeeeeeeeeeese!!
Cheers!!
What a super duper time we all had and I'm really happy and proud to have met some great friends. Thank you all!!
Edit:
As Guy has so rightly pointed out, I need to thank our wonderful hosts at The Go Down Restaurant for their wonderful food and hospitality. And lastly for taking this parting shot!!

Oh, Viv these are fabulous photos making a truly wonderful photoblog album. I love every image. So colourful and entertaining and oozes the fun and frolics of your Fuji meet in York. How I wished I could have joined you all. (Geoff's Nephew's Wedding weekend was wonderful and we had a great time) I love your flowing narrative which adds to the fun of the event. Thanks ever so much for compiling and sharing your super day. Hopefully we will meet on the next one. Love Alison xxx

Well, you just blew my mental image of staid, solid, sombre Fuji folks right out of the water! It's great to see candid "people shots" combined with a humourous running commentary. Thanks for posting.

Some strange folk there.
So glad that you didn't have to clone the bug-eyed ladies eyes onto SouthernGirl. Haha.
Aslo, youy didn't credit our brilliant host and chef for the last shot. What a grand fellow he was and what an excellent meal.
Thanks for organising the meal Viv, and Steve too for taking over while I was busy with stuff.
Lovely to meet you all.

Smashing Viv, well put together and quick too (a bit like yourself)!!. Twas a blog of the members and that's great cos I am sure there will be lots of shots of engines, and bits of York coming up. If anything is going to encourage others to attend a meet, this will. Bear in mind folks that these were taken with 30 mins of meeting for the very first time. I am sure there a lot more folk out there who would blend in just as well. (ie. fruitcakes)
Thanks Viv (Notice, no Wivvey added, I don't want a slap off Rosie!!!) Great stuff, great memories, great weekend.
Great You XXXXXXX Mwaaaah

Well spotted Rosie; I did notice the big bust but not what was attached!!!
Thanks everyone for all your kind comments; I did want to do something a little different so as not to 'clash' with anyone elses blog. And, if it incourages others to attend such mad happenings, then all the better!!

It is a brilliant blog, I feel like the only sober one at the pub.
No idea why I say that because that, to my knowledge, has never happened!
Had I been there, I would have insisted on all of us hiring a scooter and we could have recreated the Ride of the Valkyrie!

Hee Hee Viv, that just about sums it up! What a great weekend it was, I think we'll definitely be heading back to York sometime, it's such a beautiful city. I was sooo looking forward to seeing my "bug eyes"...too bad I managed to keep my eyes open for one of the shots eh?? (I think I should change my name to Doremouse - I've even got my eyes shut in Tony's shot!!!)
Hope to see you again before too long
